Preliminary New York Times support

I’m very happy to announce, albeit cautiously, that I’ve added preliminary support for stories from The New York Times.

So far, it’s Text-mode only, and the character encoding isn’t quite right (so you’ll get boxes or question marks in place of certain special characters such as long dashes and smart quotes). My method is not officially approved by them yet, so they might block it at any time. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen, and I’m actively pursuing communication with them to arrange for more direct (and approved) content access.

Note: Only stories downloaded to the Instapaper iPhone app after this are likely to work. To make it redownload your existing stories, use the Account button to Log Out, then log back in.
