iPad update
Now that I’ve had a brief time to use the iPad, there are a number of interface and behavioral changes I want to make. Specifically:
- There are a few bugs with installation and the bookmarklet that I’ll fix shortly.
- The next version will be compatible as far back as OS 3.0 for iPhone users. I mistakenly thought that universal binaries required OS 3.1.3. Fortunately, I’ve been told this isn’t the case.
- Pagination will support left/right tap zones on the iPad, and the toolbar’s functionality will be redesigned in the interface. (ongoing, not all in the next version)
- The white interface is too bright, and the text is too bright in Dark mode. It needs a brightness control and more color and/or texture options. (ongoing)
- The default margins are too small, especially the top and bottom margins in pagination.
Rest assured that I’m working quickly to get these working and will release a free 2.2.3 update shortly. Thanks for your patience.
