Instapaper Free and Pro 2.1 now available

New in both:

  • Interface, speed, and stability improvements.
  • iPhone OS 3.0 is now required.
  • Article list no longer rotates (considering putting this back in since some users liked it).
  • Details on Instapaper Free 2.1. It has the 10-article limit that I previously wrote about here – I don’t want you to be surprised by the upgrade.

New in Instapaper Pro 2.1:

  • Share articles on Tumblr directly, or send links to the Tumblr iPhone app.
  • Share articles on Twitter directly, or send links to many supported Twitter apps.
  • Email article links, with optionally selected text blurbs, directly from the app.

Note that there’s a minor bug in Pro 2.1: when entering your Tumblr or Twitter usernames, please tap the “Next” button on the keyboard to go to the password field instead of simply tapping on the field to move to it. This was an oversight in testing and will be fixed shortly in a minor point release.
